Patti Spieth, NP, Brandee Marksberry, NP and Amber Owings, NP are board certified advanced practice nurses who offer individualized psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to young and middle aged adults (age 18-64 years of age). We treat a number of mental health disorders, including depressive, adjustment, anxiety, attention deficit, and bipolar disorders. In addition to the above, we specialize in care for women experiencing mood and anxiety symptoms during the perinatal period.
Patti, Brandee and Amber work in collaboration with Dr. Michael Kane, via a practice agreement, as required by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency for nurse practitioners to prescribe and manage medications.
Patti Spieth, NP is a long time native of Bloomington she received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and returned to Bloomington where she completed her Associates in Nursing at Indiana State University and then went on to complete her Masters in Nursing at IUPUI. Patti has been practicing as a nurse practitioner providing medication management services for psychiatric issues, in collaboration with psychiatrists and therapists, since 2004.
Patti believes we as human beings strive for independent, successful and fulfilling lives. To accomplish this goal in an ever changing, unstable, and stressful environment, humans must rely on each other for guidance and support.
Patti's goal is to promote optimal functioning and effective coping skills to IU students and adult individuals challenged with psychiatric disorders such as general mood, anxiety, and attentional issues. Her care and treatment focuses on stabilizing the individual, enhancing optimal functioning and re-establishing autonomy through the provision of
psychopharmacology services, wellness education, and illness prevention.
Patti finds joy in spending time with her husband and two (2) wonderful boys. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, boating, and playing soccer.
Brandee Marksberry, NP, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, has been caring for others for over twenty years.
Brandee firmly believes in a holistic approach to care where the voice of her patients matters. She values that our happiness and our mental health are completely interwoven within our lives. She offers emotional and psychiatric medication support and management for a variety of mental health/psychiatric issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, attention issues, OCD and postpartum depression. For Brandee, quality of care is defined as giving each of her patients the time and attention they deserve during their time of need.
Having been born and raised in Indiana, Brandee graduated from Indiana University in 1995 with a Bachelor degree in Human Development/Family Studies and then returned to school graduating in 1999 with her BSN (RN) in nursing. She has helped people of all backgrounds and was particularly drawn to her patients who were struggling with their mental health. It was then that Brandee decided to continue her professional journey and went on to earn her Psychiatric Mental Health NP degree
Brandee finds joy in a variety of ways including hiking, travel, reading and spending time with her three (3) boys.
Amber Owings, NP is a Bloomington native who has spent her adult life caring for the behavioral health needs of patients through various roles in nursing
Amber started her nursing career in 1999 and has worked in behavioral health since 2002. She received her Masters in the Science of Nursing from Indiana University in 2015 and is certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
Amber believes in a collaborative approach to care, where the patient's input is valued and used to create a treatment plan that meets the goals of the patient.
Amber offers medication management and emotional support for a variety of mental health disorders including, mood, anxiety and attention disorders as well as postpartum depression.
Amber spends her free time with her husband and two boys. She enjoys travel and sports.

The following fees may be adjusted each January and are due at time of service.
Out of Network Benefits
Our office is unable to accept insurance or other third party payers and will not bill services directly to any insurance company. This helps limit the cost of our services. However, we do provide fully itemized and coded medical receipts to help facilitate patients' filing of their own claims for out-of-network benefits.
*Please note Medicaid/HIP benefits do not permit services rendered from a nonparticipating provider.

Payment information on file will be charged 100% of the original appointment fee.

Once you become an established patient you will be directed to a HIPAA-compliant secure patient portal for communication. Here you can also schedule appointments, request refills, and ask questions.
Privacy
We will not release information about you to anyone without informing you first, and in almost all cases only after you give clear permission.
Safety is of utmost importance and may necessitate breaching your confidentiality to maintain the physical safety of yourself or others.
Emergencies
Any life threatening emergencies are to be evaluated by providers at your local urgent care center or your nearest emergency room.
